About

Cari B is a self-taught painter based in London, originally from Yorkshire. From an early age, she was drawn to drawing, interior design, and fashion, a creative curiosity that led her to study at Central Saint Martins, where she earned a Foundation Diploma in Fine Art in 2010.

With a decade-long career in the interior design industry, Cari brings a deep understanding of form, texture, and materiality into her painting practice. Working primarily in oils, her impressionistic and expressionistic style captures movement, emotion, and atmosphere. Whether painting water or the female formβ€”two recurring themes in her workβ€”she employs an intuitive approach, often using a palette knife, brushes, and even her hands to build layers of depth and texture.

Travel plays a significant role in Cari’s creative process, particularly her fascination with the sea. While exploring different coastlines, she sketches on location. She takes extensive photographs, capturing the beauty and optimism of holiday momentsβ€”elements that often find their way into her work. Cari’s paintings are designed to uplift and inspire, offering a sense of escapism and hope to those who collect them.

With a high-end aesthetic and a distinctive style that complements contemporary interiors, her work has been collected in Dubai, the USA, and the UK. Beyond the creative side of being an artist, she is passionate about building lifelong relationships with collectors, valuing the personal connection that art fosters between artist and audience.
